F, France: TM60AT honours the memory of Alan Turing on the air until the year's end. Turing was one of the leading early computer developers and filled an instrumental role in the Enigma decoding efforts. QSL via F8URC (d/B), eQSL.

OA, Peru: Daniel, DL5YWM, remains active as OA4/DL5YWM from until the 31st of December. Between Dec. 15 and 19 he worked as OA1/DL5YWM from Punta Sal. QSL via h/c (d/B), ClubLog OQRS.

PJ2, Curacao: Carlos, HK4CM and Herbert, HK4RB, put Curacao Island (SA-099) on the air until Dec. 28 as PJ2/homecalls. QSL via h/c.

RA, European Russia: R230S celebrates the 230th anniversary of Simferopol. Documentary Archives Radio Communications: Glenn Johnson, W0GJ, on of two team-leaders for the upcoming expedition to Navassa (K1N), has given his first of three planned interviews to the archive. Morse Code as Intangible Cultural Heritage: The German Commission for UNESCO has decided to include Morse code into the German Nationwide Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage, thereby recognising its vital role in the development of world-wide communication.

SAQ Xmas Transmission: SAQ in Grimeton once again is going to transmit on the 24th on 17.2kHz. Preparations begin at 0730z and the transmission itself at 08z. SK6SAQ will also be QRV on 3.755 (SSB), 7.035 (CW), 14.215 (SSB), and 14.035 (CW). QSL and SWL reports via bureau or Grimeton Radio (d). http://alexander.n.se/

Silent Key: Joerg Puchstein, DL8WPX, died on December 16 at his home in Zurich. He received his first call (Y54PL) in 1983, and became known as DL8WPX from 1989 onwards. He was also active as YB6AVE and YB1AQS. Joerg was a long-term member of the DARC Committee DX and HF-Contesting working on the development of the WAEDC and the DARC contest log-checking. Joerg was also a team-member of numerous DXpeditions (VK9LM, S21XX, P29VXX, ZL7DK, VK9DWX, VK9DLX).
